 SANITARY SEWER MAINTENANCE

The Sanitary Sewer Maintenance Section is responsible for maintenance and repair of the city's main line sanitary sewer system and lift stations. Maintenance consists of annual flushing of the system to prevent blockages. They also clear and unblock the sanitary sewer mains when a stoppage occurs. The sanitary sewer lateral, from the main line to the houses are not maintained by the section, the lateral is the responsibility of the property owner.
