FACILITY MAINTENANCE

 

 

This section is responsible for The City’s 12 parks, landscape medians, street trees, and misc. lands

The Facilities Maintenance Section is responsible for City-wide graffiti removal and maintenance and repair of all City buildings. These buildings include: City Hall, Police Department, Library, Theater, the Parking structure, Apollo Community/Senior Center, the Apollo Gymnasium and park playground equipment and buildings.

Accomplishments:

  • Replaced the carpeting on the first and second floors of City Hall.

  • Installed electrical and air conditioning for the Library computer and media rooms.

  • Performed annual playground safety inspections and audits.

  • Removed 26,259 spots of graffiti from over 3,746 locations throughout the City.

  • Installed ADA drinking fountains at Furman and Rio San Gabriel Parks.

  • Reroofed Activity room #2 at Furman Park.

  • Recarpeted Activitiy room #2 at Furman Park.

  • Rebuilt two shelters at Furman and one shelter at Rio San Gabriel Parks.

  • Installed and removed seasonal decorations at City Hall.

  • Painted the structures at Furman, Treasure Island, Crawford and Independence Parks.
